You may to pick up a copy of the out of sync child from the library. Also there's of ways you can play to help get used to different textures, like shaving cream on the table, play dough, sand in the sandbox. Consider buying some of the tools that OT use for home, like a weighted pillow:http://www.therapyshoppe.com/therapy/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=5_1132&products_id=268&sort=20a&page=1

She may grow of these things or not it's too soon to tell. If issues become extreme for example, I would consult an OT.

My 3-year-old won't let me put any band-aids on her when she has a wound, she takes off her socks constantly, complaining of dirt in her toes, and won't sit in her booster seat if it has crumbs in it. She is always moving and needs constant stimulation. I have felt for awhile that she has sensory issues but don't know the best course of action to take, or if she will grow out of these "quirks".

When I looked into occupational therapists in the area, some charged as much as $650 for a consultation. Can anyone provide insight on what I need to do and/or recommend anyone?

Thanks.
