Could you share the potter's website or contact information?

We have had these since we got married 13 years ago. I think we only broke one cup and one saucer so far, and I still think they're pretty. And they look great in glass-front white cabinets. They are also inexpensive.

Definitely check out Homegoods. Even if you find one piece you like, you can check with customer service and they will "order" what they can. I got really lucky and found a single plate of my parents' dishes in the one in Rockville (My folks had been wondering the same thing as you...try to find more or buy a whole new set). Customer service called EVERYWHERE (even different states) to see what the company had in stock. My folks were able to replace everything they neded (and then some).

I'm thinking if you find one little thing you like, you can see if they have whole sets you can get elsewhere.

I love Denby. http://www.denbyusa.com/page/shoplanding/

We bought some on our honeymoon to Ireland more than 13 years ago and most of it is still perfect--and we have 4 sons!

Unfortunately, we do need more (not because of pieces broken--but just because when we were on honeymoon we didn't anticipate this many kids!) and our pattern (Metz) was discontinued several years ago. I'm thinking of starting over with Regency Green.

I actually got some earthenware looking serving bowls from jc penny. Not fiestaware. The sets are more affordable than the brand you mentioned but not as pretty.

I'm a Homegoods, TJMAXX kind of gal, and I've seen a few things that I like but I haven't bought anything because there have been too few pieces to put even a n=mixed set together. I'm not into Pier one. I haven't been happy with Crate and Barrel's quality for a while and I'm disappointed in PB's designs lately.

I like the Vietri line that has the natural lines, but it's sooooo delicate. I only have a few of the coffee mugs left. As much as I would like to get it again, I won't.

Keep the ideas coming!

Thanks

Bed Bath and Beyond? We got some Mikasa ones there that have very cute floral patterns.

Crate & Barrel still has some great stuff. Ikea has some good deals, but mainly in the white you're not interested in.

I have a set of everyday dishes from my parent's house, so I can't help you much, but this is a tough one because it is only about taste. Can you just go wander around a home goods store (or Target or Pier 1 or Macy's or wherever you shop for such things) and think - Ah! I LIKE that!

I have been putting off buying new dishes for two years now because I can't find exactly what I'm looking for -- well, we're down to 5 bowls, 5 appetizer plates -- you get the picture.

I prefer an earthen ware, artisan look, but I'm open to other styles. I really don't like white restaurant style dishware because it doesn't blend with our house. This is important because some of our cabinets have glass fronts and you can see the dishes from various angles.

Price is an issue, but I'm not ruling anything out price wise at this point. If I love, I'll buy it.

Thanks for help!
