That isn't a boundary study.

The CIP identifies a need for additional elementary
school capacity in this area. Included in the 5-year CIP
cycle is funding for an addition to Marshall Road
Elementary School. Approximately $1.77 million of the
cost for this addition is funded through development
proffer contributions; the remaining cost is currently
unfunded. Also identified in the CIP, but included in
years beyond the 5-year CIP cycle, is an unfunded
requirement for a new elementary school in the Fairfax/
Oakton area which could provide some capacity for the
Madison HIgh School pyramid elementary schools.

Staff will continue to monitor enrollments at these
schools.
Accommodations for capacity deficits may include
potential interior architectural modifications, if possible,
or temporary/modular building additions pending further
community engagement on the prioritization of needed
capacity enhancement and monitoring of enrollments.

Fair enough. There may be a boundary study in Oakton around 2020. OP seemed to be referring to things that might happen much sooner.

I would think the neighborhoods along Shreve Rd. would be relatively safe.

Hmmm. We're in Falls Hill (which is in between Shreve and Idylwood) so it sounds like we'd stay in Shrevewood.

The area that's west of Idylwood currently assigned to Shrevewood stands a good chance of being sent to Lemon Road in a few years, as it will counter-balance some of the students that will be sent there from Freedom Hill.

I don't know if Shrevewood is technically in the Lemon Road study quite yet. Although it is very possible that the townhomes on Idylwood past Pimmit and Idylwood Towers could eventually be redistricted to Lemon Road. There are also several areas along Gallows Road that are practically across the street from Stenwood, but are assigned to Shrevewood. I would think that those areas would be the first ones up for consideration to help alleviate the crowding at Shrevewood.

Part of Shrevewood near Idylwood likely will get moved to Lemon Road in 2-3 years after the addition to Lemon Road is built.

Which clusters/pyramids? There will be something in Cluster 2/the Madison pyramid, as an example.

What do you think about the not-yet-announced-but-will-be-here-soon FCPS boundary studies?
