I've heard of it, but got the impression it was more of a game than a test. I know my first grader too the MAP-M test but they never told us the results. Interesting....

Does anyone know what the year end goal is for First graders using Rocket Math? Also how important is it in the math curriculum. I realize understanding basic math facts is important and that memorizing these facts will help with overall math understanding. My DS has a difficult time with the timed propotion of the rocket math and I'm curious to hear about other's parents experiences.
