Subject: brunch place on 14th st with a 1 year old?
Commissary and Logan Tavern have long been taken over by the brunch-with-kid-set. Your friends without kids will not be as happy, but who cares?

We've taken our son (who is now 2.5) to Eatonville and Busboys regularly. You can also get brunch at Alero @ 13th and U (very kid-friendly).

maybe masa 14 because it would be loud (and I see kids in there for brunch)

Commisary and Logan Tavern are bustling, so a 1-year-old wouldn't possibly cause a ruckus! There's a (cash-only) garage nearby too.

We tried to get into Cafe St Ex recently (with a somewhat older child) and it was going to be a wait so we went to Bar Pilar and enjoyed ourselves.

I think any of the restaurants that serve brunch would be fine. Cafe St. Ex, Busboys and Poets, Eatonville come to mind.
