Our PSL was supposed to help with the transition from preschool to K (autism program in both), and was really not very engaged nor helpful. That said, we were able to have the IEP meeting without her since she was unavailable during the IEP meeting anyway. I have to believe that the PSL's do have worth to the program overall, even if perhaps our PSL is not?

My experience was a bit different. Our consultant requested the pyramid procedural officer attend our IEP meetings after some problems with DS's teacher (she didn't do anything with our requesst for OT/ST services). She was actually helpful and I'm sure, from what she witnessed at our meetings, she made sure the teacher had some re-training. She actually supported what our consultant thought was best for our DS.

Worthless and annoying. Also don't seem to know anything about procedure. What is the real point to their
existence at IEP meetings? I hate how ours has an opinion on everything related to our child's services and needs when she is not
a teacher or a therapise and has never even met our child.

Is it just me?
