I think it is unlikely that the jury will buy this story given that she had blood coming out of her head and he has admitted to banging her head against the wall. All the elements are here: body, blood, motive, assault (at the very least). It's hard to find the hole in the conviction.
Compare this to Casey Anthony, and unfortunately, the body wasn't really useful in determining how the child died, when the child died or where. We know when and where Ms. Love died. We know that Mr. Hughgely assaulted her prior to her death. We know that he was mad at her. We have a lot more than the prosecutors had at the Casey Anthony trial.
