The blog posts also say that his chair is lower to the ground than his attorneys' chairs so that he looks smaller.
Unbelievably transparent effort by the defense team.

God, did you see the photo of him? He has lost a ton of weight, and they put him in this jacket and shirt (no tie) that are at least two sizes too big in an effort to make him appear as young and innocent as possible. so transparent.

This:

Chapman's opening statements described Love's allegedly slow and painful death. He described Love's injuries as so bad when her body was discovered that the medical examiner had to dissect her brain to discover the cause of death, which was determined to be "blunt force trauma to the head."

Chapman said that Love lay in her bed for two hours dying after being allegedly assaulted by Huguely.

I think it is unlikely that the jury will buy this story given that she had blood coming out of her head and he has admitted to banging her head against the wall. All the elements are here: body, blood, motive, assault (at the very least). It's hard to find the hole in the conviction.

Compare this to Casey Anthony, and unfortunately, the body wasn't really useful in determining how the child died, when the child died or where. We know when and where Ms. Love died. We know that Mr. Hughgely assaulted her prior to her death. We know that he was mad at her. We have a lot more than the prosecutors had at the Casey Anthony trial.


so was she left bled to death?

After allegedly learning that Love had slept with someone else, Huguely emailed Love, "I should have killed you," prosecutor Warner Chapman said in his opening statement.

"You should've killed me?" Love responded.

"We should talk tonight," Huguely wrote back.

This is just so disgusting. I get that yes we have a need for defense lawyers but some are such scum bags. May this case come out with the proper outcome. Guilty and put away from life.

The time it took to get this to trial is an indication that the defense team was working overtime trying to figure out a defense...........
His violent history will make this very difficult, I hope.

Sorry but after the Casey Anthony trial, I have to believe even a shoddy defense like this could work. Hopefully the jury pool was made of better stuff than the Florida one.
