So now Romney goes negative on Santorum? Is there a point at which the base gets disgusted with such tactics? Gingrich is an abrasive figure who may get support, but who is not a natural magnet for sympathy. But Santorum is different.
Here is a guy who has consistently fought for the issues dearest to the hearts of the evangelical right (which I find abhorrent, but that's irrelevant). Can Mitt attack Mr. Sweater Vest/"I support 100% of the people" and get away with it?

Santorum Surges in CO, MN, and MO... This tide of Santorum has so much momentum now, I'm not sure Romney can staunch the flow.
