We got Clemente admission letter today.

Clemente acceptance letters were also mailed out today.

I think that's right (and the number may even be higher), but as I understand it, they eliminate right off the bat the kids with test scores below a certain cutoff, and then work from the remaining pool (whatever that is). I imagine this becomes a very hard task since there are likely more than 100 kids in the remaining pool with scores sufficiently high - but there just aren't enough spots. Consequently many qualified kids are rejected.

My child was admitted and I am grateful for that, but I feel sad for those kids out there who could succeed in the program but who for whatever reason were rejected.

Slightly off-topic, but given we may be considering this in a couple of years, what are the approximate acceptance rates?

My daughter got the accepance from Eastern today. Still waiting for the TPMS.

Yes, acceptances to both (!) for DC.

I think they mail rejections a day or two after they mail acceptances.

I know Eastern went out; not sure about Takoma.
