I tried to speak to my child's teacher and the AAP resource teacher at my school and they would not say a peep about DC's chances or what they had observed about his work. Personally I think it's pretty ridiculous that they won't give you any guidance on the program and how your child may or may not be a good fit-not doing anyone any favors!! DC in pool but test scores aren't off the charts-everyone saying this year is ultra competitive due to lots of high scores on the CoGat-already thinking about appeal with WISC if necessary.
Which school if I amy ask as I had the same experience?
Anonymous wrote:I did ask to see DC's GBRS last year. It was already the beginning of April when I asked. I was surprised by the number, it was an 8. DC was accepted in 1st round because high test scores. DC is now outpacing most of class at AAP. I laugh at the GBRS now because it just proved to me how much they didn't understand DC's ability.

I think a couple of years ago there were some tables on here which showed 70% for in-pool and 50% for out-of-pool acceptance rates.
