I would say the baby food tasting one is the worst I've ever had to deal with, but that was year's ago when I was a teenager and it was my mom's friend's baby shower. None of my friends have had any awful games at their showers. The last one I went to had a timed game where you had to come up with boy and girl names for each letter of the alphabet, for example. Those don't take long and are pretty harmless. And I say this as someone who hates games at baby showers.

Ugh, I went to a shower where this was played. I was pregnant at the time-- I seriously almost hurled. So. Gross.

I insisted there be no games at my shower, and the host announced this to everyone and an actual cheer went up in the crowd.

Agree - all of them are pretty bad. I love my MIL very much, and she was sweet enough to throw me a shower, at which she did the dreaded measure the monmy's belly game. I had been measuring small my whole pregnancy and was really nervous about that, so the game ended up just highlighting those fears for me and it was terrible.

A game that I think is not annoying is betting on when the baby will actually arrive - i went to a shower where we all bought chances to play ($2 per chance) and wrote our guess in a calendar. The winner took the pot and she ended up using her winnings to buy a small gift for the mother - it was nice.

The one where the pregnant mom passes around the presents and all the guests feel compelled to ooh and aah over stupid shit that is only interesting to a pregnant woman. Oh, wait a second... I guess that's not a game, right? But still, that is my most hated part of any baby shower.

I second all of them - We're not having any at my shower.

The guess by taste which baby food is what flavor. Those jars of little green mush are awful. Enough baby showers convinced me to never give my kids gerber mush.

The one where you measure mommie's tummy and show just how much huger she is than everyone else.
