After the intial presentations in the auditorium, you can meet with principals (or assts) from each elementary school. You should try and come -- good opportunity to get your questions answered.
Science Focus is a neighborhood school -- but also a "magnet" some kids get in by lottery who want to be part of their special curriculum.

Another question: Sorry, I am new to Arlington school system. I don't understand the boundary map for ASF. Why does it appear to be in the middle of two zones?

So are you asking about regular preschools in the same area as Arlington Science Focus?
I'm asking about Pre-K (four year olds) not Pre-S (3 year olds) nearest to Arlington Science. Yes, I am looking for regular pre-K programs - not based on income because we don't qualify for low income programs. I am also not very interested in programs which combine Pre-K with Pre-S.
Pre-K is preschool. Arlington doesn't have public pre-K. There are some popular preschool programs (e.g., Mt Olivet, Kinhaven, Trinity Presbyterian) in that area but it might be hard to get a spot for a four year old.

Anonymous wrote:Hi! We would like to move in-boundary for Arlington Science Focus. We currently live in DC, but we are looking to move right now to Arlington.
What do families do with a younger sibling who is eligible for pre-K next school year? Are there pre-K programs near Arlington Science Focus where sibling can attend? We are trying to determine whether we should just wait another year until younger sibling can attend K at Arlington Science Focus.
Also, if anyone can give their feedback on ASF, that would be wonderful
