We've done Angelico's (Tenleytown) for parties before and have gotten good reviews from both kids and adults. They've got interesting, adult-friendly topping combos and you can get plain cheese or pepperoni for the pickier guests. They're our go-to place when we want "better" pizza for a group gathering.

Petes' delivers but I think they are really pricy. It costs us at least 22 for a two topping smaller pizza. (they now have a 14 in) I would do the Vace half bakes. It will cost you half of that price for one or two topping pizzas.

i'd do potomac pizza for a crowd that size.

Someone on the Cleveland Park Listserv just asked about good pizza delivery, Pete's got 10 votes, but Angelico's got 9 votes, so maybe check that one out. Italian Pizza Kitchen was in 3rd place with 5 votes.

You can order whole pies from Vace "half baked" and finish the baking in your oven at home when you're ready. They turn out well - and definitely tastier than any of the other pizza mentioned.

Hosting DS' birthday party for probably 40 people (preschool class plus siblings and parents adds up!) near Friendship Heights. Planning to serve pizza. Dont want to fork out for Pete's for all those people, but also dont want Dominoes or something gross like that. Anyone have a suggestion for something in the middle? Thinking maybe Vace, but it will be a pain to send someone out during the party to pick it up, and the party starts at 10:30 so it would sit around a while if we got it before hand.
