I didnt have the foggiest idea about his party affiliation. I daresay most DCUM posters would have been hard pressed to correctly name the team he coached. I think you are rationalizing. 90% of people on this site have never heard of the Nittany Lions.

From what I know about DCUM i know that part of the Paterno hate is because he was a staunch Republican.
