There is no "magic number" to get to score 132. They also look at your particular child's age at the time the test was taken. My kid did particularly well (138) on her NNAT even though her raw score was the same as her friends. Friend was six months older on test day, however.

For automatic AAP consideration (aka "the pool"), a 132 or higher is required on either the NNAT or any one subsection (not including the composite score) the CogAT.

However, anyone can refer their kid for consideration, regardless of scores.

132 is likely 98th percentile.

13:57, oh sweet newbie, start with the gt appeals thread from last year to get a taste. Add to that a thread about test prepping. Simmer for an hour, then get back to us.

For those of us who don't have to deal with this can someone please provide a translation of the above conversation?

Am I correct that some threshold of 132 is quite high and a lot of parents whose kids come in lower than that are trying to angle to gain exception and admission to the program?

Not sure about the NNAT scores. You may want to check with the AART at your school.

All of the in-pool letters and CogAT scores will be mailed out at the same time across the County.
