I agree with the others. We did a Gymboree class once a week and that offered enough class time, follow the leader, listen to the teacher, and circle time for our child.

21;26 here. 21:50 much more eloquently made the point I was trying to make. The purpose of preschool is to teach the things you mention, OP. Don't worry! They expect your child to act like a 2 year old at 2.

I think that's the point of preschool, to give your child exposure and work on those things before entering the real school system, i.e. kindergarten and beyond.

Not really a prep, but an educational type class that focuses on gross motor, fine motor, transitioning, circle time, social skills etc. my son is very active so this type of exposure would really help him before starting preschool.

I don't think you need prep for preschool. If you do, it's probably not the right preschool.

Does anyone know of a good structured class in either McLean, Vienna, Herndon, Great Falls or Reston to prepare 2 year olds for preschool? We have tried Wee Play and JW tumbles and have enjoyed both. Thanks!
