See if you can find the Fieldcrest 400 thread count "hotel" sheets at Target.com. We have 3 sets now and I really like them. Bed Bath & Beyond also has 400 thread count sheets that I really like - they're heavy like hotel sheets, and are probably available online.

Kohls or Brylane Home - I try to buy at least 400 count sheets so they stand up to frequent washings. I got some flannel sheets from Brylane home 10 years ago and they are like sleeping on a cloud.
Stay away from Target. I bought flannel sheets from there once. Every morning I woke up to a crime scene - the sheets peeled that much.

Search the DCUM archives for thread count. Someone who used to work in the industry wrote a post on sheets. It was rather enlightening on thread count, cotton varieties, different weaves, etc. My recollection is that percale is the longest lasting weave (sateen starts out soft but doesn't last very long), and that the thread count is less important than the cotton type. Egyptian or pima/supima are the longest fibers and hence make the softest and strongest sheets.

And be sure to get sheets that are deep enough for your mattress.

I love Land's End sheets. Right now, we are sleeping on their lightweight flannel sheets. They have a ton of sheet sets on sale right now.

I love the Sonoma 500 thread count pima cotton sheets from Kohls; we have multiple sets. Anyone who has ever slept on our guest room bed raves about them, and then ends up going out and buying a set for themselves.

I've bought from QVC, Lands End, and LL Bean. They are all good. You need to know what you are looking for in terms of threatcount, cotton or flannel, etc., otherwise they will never be right.

I have had hit or miss sheets from overstock. I am really practical and not picky but one set we got as a gift from overstock, I quit using. They were so scratchy, I couldn't stand it.
Maybe try Lands End or LL Bean.

Can anyone recommend an online source for buying sheets? I hate shopping, and I'd rather just have them sent to me. Lazy, I know, but the thought of heading out with a 3 year old, 18 month old and at 5 months pregnant just exhausts me. We do not need luxury sheets, but nothing paper thin. Something soft and comfy!
