I think about past relationships once in while, not past partners.

I would see this as a warning sign. Its perfectly ok to have fantasies even with exes, but when you get into repeated "what if" scenarios then I think it time to take a long hard look at your relationship and decide whether you need to jump start it.

I think about my first love every day.

I only think about old girlfriends when I'm making a withdrawal from the spank bank.

Except for my first love. I still think of her almost every day, but never in fantasizing. She's sacred.

I'd feel terrible if I sat around and fantasized about exes "all.the.time" - like I was cheating on my DH. Doesn't even occur to me. Sounds pretty depressing.

Since I'm still friends and in contact with 3 of my 6 exes, I think about them moderately often, but as platonic friends. Since we're in the same circle of friends, I think about them as I would any of that group of friends, but not as romantic partners. I don't think very often about the other 3 except when something comes up that reminds me of them, but then it's just thinking about that memory. No, I am now much more attracted to my DW than to any of my exes.

Hmm I definitely do NOT think about what it would be like to make out or have sex with any of my past partners, or anyone but DH for that matter. Sometimes I wonder how an old bf is doing/hope he is well etc. - but I certainly don't daydream or fantasize about them.

Some of them sure. Usually in terms of a what if situation. Every long term relationship is special in it's own way and shaped who you are today. It's natural to think of them fondly but remember that there was a reason the relationship ended in the first place.

I'm a woman and I (and I think most women I know) daydream about past boyfriends, the chemistry we had, what it would be like to run into this person today etc, what it would be like to make out or have sex again, etc. etc. I don't do this about all past relationships but there are two that I think about--one on occasion, one quite a bit.

I was wondering--do men do this kind of thing too?
