Tysons Galleria is Hell on Earth. Seriously. It's what the death of the soul looks like. I feel like weeping every time I find myself there.

No cupcake good enough to get me to Tyson's.

DH was over the moon with the pies.

Cupcakes are over.

The cakes are good. The cookies are AMAZING.

Yes, I thought the same - we took our toddler to the Museum of Natural History to celebrate her b-day, then decided to have tea at the AG store, but they were booked solid and were not accepting walk ins, so I suggested Cheesecake factory. As my husband was driving from the other Tyson's to the Galleria I was browsing this site on my iPhone and opened this thread because I saw "Tysons Galleria." We had late lunch/early dinner at CF and then I went to this store to try the cupcake - my husband ordered the coconut/pineapple cake (not bad, but not remarkable either). You already know what I thought of their chocolate cupcake. Believe in what you want.

I was in the Galleria when I read this thread and decided to check it out - I am sooooo disappointed! And to think I passed on cheesecake factory dessert for this! I tried the chocolate cupcake ant it was awful - I can't believe anyone would find that so good to the point of posting on dcurbanmom as the "best cupcake ever!"

The icing was dense, heavy, caked - I think it had too much sugar maybe? And the cupcake itself was so dry that it is all crumbly.... I don't have very high standards re sweets, specially chocolate ones, but I could not finish this cupcake. Really disappointed.

pp, why not just say "I hate Virginia" or "I'll never cheat on Georgetown Cupcakes" or something at least vaguely relevant to the discussion?

The Caramel cake is to die for. Agree that you have to sell a lot of cake to pay the rent at the Galleria. But we will do our share.

No kidding, love here stuff! That Sweet Potato cake is unreal.
And Danielle is such a nice person too, always a pleasure to go in there. Hope they do okay all the way up there in the mall where there's not much foot traffic. Rent must be astronomical.

Just had the white on chocolate for a birthday. It was really the best chocolate cake/white frosting that I have ever tasted. I can't get the images of the other cupcakes (caramel and strawberries and cream) out of my head. I'll have to go back. Damn you Danielle's Desserts.
