She has great recipes. You all are being too simplistic in blaming the butter for her diabetes.

When you hear that a celebrity has cancer, do you start pointing at her use of hair dye, or her consumption of pesticides on fruits and vegetables, or her use of epoxy glue in an unventilated room? 'Cause you are so sure it's that one factor that gave her cancer? 'Cause it's okay to say things like that when someone gets a diagnosis like cancer or diabetes? Is it going to be okay to do that when you get such a diagnosis? Can your friends point to one thing in your lifestyle that is the cause? Will they be right, or just stupidly speculating?

Some of you are rather gross people. LOL OMG HAHA DIABETES FAT PEOPLE LOL

Are you 12?

I appreciate her recipes though I have only used one - I use it every year on Thanksgiving. It is an extraordinarily decadent recipe for stuffing. Good for once a year.

I hope she doesn't change! I need ideas for good old fashioned cooking once in a while. FWIW I am a 5'6" 135lb. woman with Type 2 diabetes. I have a strong family history. So, eating does not always cause diabetes.

You can't necessarily blame the butter.

To be fair, there are some good synergies to be had between her cook books and diabeetus drugs. Free insulin with every recipe etc.

Be interesting to see if she changes her recipes.

I searched FoodNetwork.com for a recipe for something once -- I forget what it was, but it would have ben a main dish (not dessert).

Her version was basically the same as Alton Brown's, except she added butter, cream and cheese.
