If you stay in National Harbor, try Grace's Mandarin if you like Chinese food. Food and service are excellent, though most people will say that the food is overpriced. I also love the decor.

I'd just go to Rosa Mexicano which is very good, or take a cab to Old Town Alexandria but it will take 15-20 minutes to get there probably.

If you're staying local to the Gaylord, Rosa Mexicano is always good.

Personally, I like Bond 45. Yes, it's part of a chain, and it's not cheap, but I liked the food and the service there. I wouldn't do Eventide- very long drive - but you might look for something in Old Town Alexandria like Restaurant Eve.

We are coming to town for a romantic getaway (w/o kids!) and I don't really like the chains listed near the hotel and the restaurants in the hotel got very mixed reviews.
Can anyone recommend a good restaurant within a short driving distance? I was thinking something like Eventide, but it seems like a long drive. Or has anyone had a good experience with something in/near the hotel?
Thanks!
