absolutly no problem with boys wearing uggs. My black belt boy age 10 and his littel brother age 6 wear them all the time. They love the ease and warmth of them. I bought the choc. brown this year for my oldest. There is NOTHING girly about a pair of uggs.

No way! Don't let your son wear uggs unless he's a newborn.

Australian boys wear Uggs but there they are slippers and for the house, not out in public. Uggs does make boots specifically for boys/men but I have never seen any of my son's (10) friends wear them. Boys his age do wear "blunnies" which are short leather slip on boots, and also Australian. Those naturally fall under the pant leg.

Don't do it. I have 2 sons and I am pretty sure yours will get teased.

The funny thing is that Uggd makes boots for guys that don't look girly.

Those sound girly. Plenty of comfy boots that are not. I just got women's snow boots from LLBean and even they look more masculine than what you describe. Wouldn't have him wear them to school.

Not cool. Boys will make fun of him. I have only seen girls with the pants or leggings tucked in so I have no idea what your husband is talking about.

I've never seen a boy wearing boots like Uggs. But he might get away with it b/c most boys that age don't notice clothes. I'd tell your DH to buy him something cool for boys his age. An Under Armour sweatshirt would work.

Besides the whole "your DH might be gay" reaction I think he is overthinking it. He is what? 6 or 7? He should be in comfy clothes and not worried about if his pants are tucked into his boots.

I'm very much not fashion oriented, so I need perspective. My husband wants to give our son a pair of Ugg style (but made by Minnetonka) shearling boots (long story). His 8 year old sister has a pair just like them so I think of them as 'girl' shoes, although they certainly are not 'girly' in any way but also not 'masculine' in any way either..I think they are pretty unisex in style, personally, but I've only noticed girls wearing them. He's in first grade, if that matters. Will he be cool in his Ugg boots or will other kids tell him he's wearing 'girl's shoes'? Also, DH thinks that he MUST wear his boots tucked in his pants, not out like the girls' do as this is what makes the boots 'girly'. ??? I think that if a first grade boy MUST wear anything in a certain way or else it will be 'girly', then that's a bad sign (but also think that he's not going to like wearing his boots inside his pants and that this will be an issue)

not a life threatening issue, I know, but.... advice??!!
