Op here- I really liked some of the other PEP classes we toured at another school, and the problem with the PEPC class I toured came down to the teachers at that school and how they were running the class that day. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. @9:45, I'd be curious to know what class you toured since you really seem to like it. Thank you!

My son will be transitioning into a combined Beginnings/PEP-C program in March.

We went for a tour a month or so ago and I thought the program was great.

Which school did you see? What were your concerns?

I've heard nothing but good things about PEP Classic. If there are only a few schools which offer PEP comprehensive, then there are maybe 30-60 people in the area who could answer this question. Is it a class like PEP Classic which is longer to accommodate more needs?

My child was in MCITP and then attends special needs preschool in MC. It is the best. I know you can stay in MC infants and toddlers program, but I am so glad we switched to preschool because at age 3, it is more group learning and the teachers at my son's school do an excellent job. I don't think he could have gotten the same educational experience by staying in MCITP. Our program is 2.5 hours a day, 5 days a week, compared to a couple of therapists coming to your home every couple of weeks.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by PEP-C. Maybe that's a new name. I'm used to PEP being divided into Beginnings, Collaborative, Classic.

I would love to hear opinions/experiences with the PEP comprehensive program in Montgomery County. I am preparing for my DD's transition into the school system and have recently completed a couple of tours. I wasn't very impressed with the PEP-C tour that I viewed and it seems that only a few schools offer this program. I recognize that we saw a brief snapshot of that school's program, so I'm really curious to hear about experiences that parents may have with PEPC. TIA!
