To me, it's more of a sad commentary that anyone posting here doesn't know the candidates well enough to be aware of their political affiliations and ideas.
Sorry, but in this sad day and age, only the politicians with a "D" after their name actually have "ideas". Republican candidates are a reified primal scream of resentment by people who have nothing to be resentful of.
