You don't need a car in Philly if you say downtown there's this trolley called the Phlash that stops at all the major tourist spots. It is for tourists and very convenient. I would probably recommend staying in the art museum area, there is an Embassy Suites, or near Rittenhouse Square, lots of good dining and shopping in that area. Recommend visiting the aquarium across the river in Camden.

thanks! do you know of any specific holiday things worth doing in Philly? Are there lights or store windows worth seeing?

2 kids and a surprise week off- we are wide open. DH was supposed to have to work but just found out he can take the week off!!! Probably need to drive at this point since we have no reservations. Ideas?
