But . . . However terrible suicide is, didn't she see the signs? I'm sure it wasn't paradise. Furthermore, some people can't handle needy friends. And those of you bashing OP probably haven't experienced friendships with emotional leeches. It's exhausting.

OP, not sure why you've posted these comments. I'm sure there's more to the situation (not that we need to know all the details), but you're coming across as a very callous and unfeeling person, whether or not you ever considered yourselves to be friends.

congrats, I guess, on getting rid of a woman whose life went down the tubes and husband killed himself.

Just got rid of friend who was a parent of my child's high school friend. I am so relieved. We co chaired many high school functions. Her life went down the tubes after our kids graduated and went off to college. I never wanted to remain friends, but she thought we were best friends. After our kids graduated, her husband killed himself and the drama was full speed. Now my husband has been deployed and she has ignored me since, for the past 6 months. Goodbye nightmare!
