If so, I'm wondering about how much this procedure costs. From what I can tell, if the RE orders this procedure my insurance (UHC/MDIPA) will cover 50%, or about $2k, but if my OBGYN ordered the same procedure as a contraceptive measure, my cost would be $200. Of course if I do this with my OBGYN the insurance will no longer cover IVF at all because I would have tied my tubes so as not to conceive. TIA
I had a blocked tube removed as my first step in the IVF process. I have BCBS and they covered nearly everything.
