Yup, pasteurized milk abroad is much better than the crap in this country. Other countries don't pump their cows full of hormones.

Unless there is something wrong with the regular milk supply where you are located, there is nothing wrong with using regular old pasterurized milk, even if it's not organic.

Not the OP, but we took a summer vacation on a lake in rural New York state. Local grocery store didn't have organic food. Sure, I could have driven 30-40 minutes to buy it, but I wasn't about to do that. I'm sure there are plenty of lower income urban areas and rural areas where organic food isn't available. OP-- if you are in the U.S., could you order shelf stable organic milk via someplace like Amazon? Personally, I wouldn't bother, but if it's important to you that could be an option.

I live in an area of the world where organic milk isn't available. Does anyone know how I could go about researching alternatives? No organic soy, almond ,etc. I'm thinking of when my (now 8 month) baby weans as well as my 5-year old.
