We love Kushi, but not sure it's what you're looking for ... very foodie and creative, hip atmosphere but less formal. I recommend it for another night if you don't choose it for the bday!

now that Asia Nora is gone, I'm looking for another comparable place for a birthday dinner. downtown or dupont is preferable, but I'm open. DC only, please. thanks!
