You don't realize what a ridiculous statement that is about an almost entirely anonymous board?

Maybe I'll make that my motto: "Marginally better than the panty sniffer." It'll be like the Democrats.

I'm the first responder, I've been posting to DCUM for years and I would say not many Libs on here. Not many in DC either.

MWAUN is the worst poster on this board, by far. So obtuse and insipid.

I brought a point that you have failed to address. You didn't say anything to the other posters' points either.

Yeah, because you're discussing issues other than the questions I asked and being rude jerks in the process. You two discuss amongst yourselves and I'll start a new thread another day for anyone who is interested in my questions.

This has served one useful purpose for me. It suggests there are few libertarians on here.

I was trying to be helpful (though blunt) and explain to you why (IMO) your question as phrased received a poor response. I think your question wasn't addressed because it couldn't be understood.

I'll add that I don't think there are many libertarians here. Most of the conservatives here are just Faux parrots. I was surprised that even one responded.

OP here. I was asking about small-l libertarians, not the Libertarian Party. The first poster wants to talk about the Party and that's fine but it's a different question.

I am lib. and have many lib. friends in real life. We fine this question legit and not everyone agrees on Ron Paul at all.

Anonymous wrote:13:37, I fail to see discussing how a libertarian might compromise to answer my second question is a discussion "full of fluff." It's a very hard question and one that more people will face than who a Libertarian might vote for within the Libertarian Party.

If you'd be up for answering both of my questions, and your first answer is about the LP, that's great.

How about discussing how there are no qualified canditates and how that libertarian party may not compromise. How about talking about the strength of the party this year and how Ron Paul's mainstream media success is bringing more people to the LP? How about talking about the new issues of the LP with the economy? With people leaning towards a renewed interest in steping away from big government after the Obama administration.

But...you'd rather pull out the same tired tripe about "how will libertarians compromise" - you might as well ask how any independants will compromise their belief system.

I plan to vote how I believe, the same way I have every year I have been able to vote - against the over stepping of the US Government on our freedoms. Sometimes I choose a D sometimes an R and most often I chose an L.

The question doesn't make much sense. If the question is which of the two major candidates the Libertarians will vote for as a compromise, then it's premature. If the question is which of the present Rep and Dem candidates the Libs would choose, then you're arbitrary and senselessly giving, say, Santorum more standing than an actual Libertarian.

And if you are asking the second question, it would be pretty strange if any Lib said anything but Paul.

Have to agree: fluff.

Why are you saying "actual" candidate as if the libertarian party candidate is not an "actual" candidate. That is the problem with this country, we only think in terms of a two party system. You can vote for Obama or a really bad other Republican option? Do you really think that is "choice?" That is not democracy in action.

I thought you really wanted to have a political discussion, but I guess it's just another DCUM thread full of fluff.

Nighty night. Back to bottles, nipples and pack N plays.

I haven't decided yet, I'd like to see a bit more from all the candidates. Some of them haven't really clarified their platforms enough yet.

At this point, I really think our party has moved forward into the spotlight more (thank you Ron Paul!) and people are taking us more seriously vs. fringe. I think what people like about our party is we have liberals and we have conservatives.

Who is your preferred presidential candidate?

Who is your candidate who might actually win?
