I also think Gerald Ford should come under of the best while in office because by pardoning Nixon, he allowed the coever Nixon's country to get back on track with the Nixon impeachment and Watergate over. Also, whatever Nixon's faults, he did open the door to relations with China.

I don't think Eisenhower belongs in either category. Essentially his two terms were "Thank you" for winning WWII and he got to play golf for eight years at taxpayers expense.

Clinton's role in the wake of Katrina and the Haiti earthquake as well as his welcome role as a glabal ambassador far exceeds the positive contibutions of Carter. Clinton is admired throughout the world, Carter is a joke.

Apparently, he wasn't considered a joke by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee.

Obama was also awarded this prize but it was for being the first AA elected Pres. of the US. So, really, the prize should have been awarded to the American voter who overcame their prejudices and elected him because he sure as hell had not, and has not, done anything to deserve this honor.

Actually the Carter Center eradicated a disease. And that's just a side project. Carter is by far the most important "after" president.
