I preordered a bunch of sides (and meat) from the silver spring whole foods, for pick up Christmas eve morning.

Balducci's or River Falls Market, depending on where you live and if $$ isn't an issue.

You can order from Whole Foods and pick up the day before.

pre-cooked ham, rolls, salad in a bag and that's half the meal. ice cream and store bought cookies for dessert. you can find that stuff at the regular grocery store.
Can anybody bring anything if they are local?
Also, consider buying Chinet and just dumping the plates after the fact so you minimize clean up.

I know I can call them to get this answer, but thought I'd ask here first. How does ordering from Whole Foods work? Can you pick it up on Christmas day or do you pick it up the day before?

I am seriously considering doing the same, primarily because my husband has to work Dec. 23-25 and my parents will be here, and we'll do the big cooking thing the next day. Whole Foods is a good suggestion, thanks.

I just found out that my sister in law, her husband, and their four children will be joining us for Christmas dinner. That brings the total to 17 people. With a newborn, I'm really stressing about what to make and also about being able to relax on Christmas day with my older children. My husband suggested we have dinner brought in to avoid the stress. Any recommendations?
