There at least used to be a place in downtown Falls Church that had one day lego camps. Renaissance Child or Renaissance Montessori? We did it for two days of winter break and my son had a fabulous time. Many of the children went all week though. Very small with lots of one on one time. They mostly built lego robots and then used the computer to make them move.

YMCA has Lego Robotics.

Thanks everyone. Is the Sidwell camp expensive? Is it a half-day camp?

My son did a lego camp last August at Sidwell Summer - loved it. We got an email alredy about sign ups for this summer - 4 different weeks for 2012...

Pinecrest has a Building camp that they do every year which includes legos. They also have a specific lego camp but i think that involves programming and designing cars with legos - maybe more high tech

They are offering an after school program at my son's school in 3D Lego Design. Not sure about camps.

Congressional Camp has a few specialty LEGO sessions but they fill up fast.

They do one at an Art Center in Gaithersburg. My then 6yo went for one session last summer and loved it.

The lego part is only 1/2 day but last summer the owner told me that you can combine with another art camp to turn into a full day.

Definitely exists, but you're going to have to search for it. It's usually part of an existing, all-round camp, rather than a specific, free-standing camp. I think McLean, Auburn, and JCCNV offer Lego weeks.

Sir Brixalot says on his web site that he rents Legos to camps, so it might be worth asking him which ones (and if you do, please report back).

In another city, there was a pure Lego stand-alone camp. It was indeed a dream. Wish we could find it here!

My 6 yr old son is obsessed with all things Lego. He spends hours playing with them. I started thinking about summer camp and was wondering if there is such a thing as a Lego camp. We have a limited amount of them since he just started being interested in them around his 6th bday. A camp where he could build Lego would be his dream.
