Second, notice what the *second* language is in all the other countries? English!!!!!!! English is not going away. It will not disappear. It has become the dominant language of the world. As a linguist in the Post article notes, the US is where other languages go to disappear. The children of immigrants will grow up speaking English.
But, no don't bother doing any actual research about the process of assimilation in this country. That wouldn't support your deluded sense of victimization.
