Woodside, north woodside or woodside park near downtown silver spring, there are houses under and over your budget so don't let people say it's too expensive. Woodlin ES is great, Sligo MS., and Einstein HS.

The eastern part of Rosemary Hills might be ckose enough to the SS metro. That would put you in the BCC cluster.

Takoma Park has a great ES and MS. Blair HS is mixed, depending on whether you take honors and AP or do the magnet or CAP, however if you live in Takoma you can participate in the Downcounty Consortium of high schools, which is a lottery.

Kensington if you don't mind a small cape.

Holy Cross area of Silver Spring

Need 3 bed / 2 bath. Could do TH or even condo. Yard not important (especially if near park). Prefer urban amenities (walk to decent pub, cafe, dry cleaner, market). Many thanks in advance for suggestions!
