It will be fine, but you'll need a nerble loab.

Unfortunately, someone pointed out to me one earring was longer than the other, but it turned out to be an earlobe issue. I know there are much bigger things. I have much more stressful things in my life, but this was just a little something I enjoyed that was inexpensive, that I guess I need to give up for a while.

Why would it be from cheap earrings? Isn't it from heavy earrings?

OP here...I own one pair of slighly heavy dangles and am considering wearing one of the earrings in the non-effected ear so stretch that a little too. Am I crazy? Ihave a bunch of earrings and it would be a waste not to be able to wear them. Plus, I just like how earrings add a personal touch and they are a lot cheaper than buying new clothes.

Any way you can have a new hole punched in the longer lobe? Mine are really uneven, too, and when I got them pierced she put the hole in the longer one higher so earrings wouldn't look lopsided.

OP here. I meant earlobe-sorry about that. Both ears look normal on their own, but looking at them together one lobe seems longer than the other and maybe the hole has stretched a teeny bit. (nothing like the photo from that article-wow!) I am really hoping if I go without earrings for a little while the issue will repair itself. Sounds like that may not be the case though.

nope. They don't close back up. Had one since high school and it still stretched out, 10+ years after I stopped wearing dangling earrings. The other hole fell through, I have a disfigured right ear.

Is it the lobe that is stretched, or the hole in your ear? I have the latter from wearing cheap earrings. I've been earring free for about 6 months now, hoping that the hole will heal a bit. I'm curious to hear the answer to this question.

No, they wont. Not unless you get a "lobe job".

Now when I wear earrings that dangle one hangs lower than the other. Even without earrings it is clear one ear loab is hanging down lower than the other. So I have stopped wearing earrings. Anyone have experience with this? Did it get better taking time off from wearing earrings? Is there anything else I should do? I don't wear really heavy earrings, but I do wear dangling earring to work often or at least I did until i discovered this issue.
