Post 12/13/2013 00:41     Subject: Anyone else have a bad experience with Photo Affections?

I used them last year and had no problems. This year is like I don't who this company is nor would I care to anymore. I ordered but never received an email confirmation. Luckily I printed the confirmation screen so I had an order #. I logged into my account and it showed no orders for my acct. I'm not too worried at this point given past history. I send an email, wait a day and have no response. Money is withdrawn from my account which is another good sign my order is being processed. I try and call and am astonished to find that no matter what # I press I get a message that they are busy and login to my account to check my order status.
I then turn to Facebook where I see others in the same boat. There they say to send them a message. I do. No response. I dared to challenge their lack of customer support. They delete my comment and block me. I see they have done that for others as well. I feel if they have the time to do this, they certainly have the time to acknowledge emails and say the are looking into the matter.
Poor online ordering, no method for actually speaking to a human and can't take any form of negative feedback.
Good luck with that business model is all I have to say. There are many businesses to choose from. They had mine and can now say goodbye to it. Granted, I'm a small fish to them I'm sure but I wonder how long they plan to treat customers like this and stay in business?

Another PISSED Photo Affections customer here. Did the Living Social deal. Ordered on the 7th. Status still says "Printing in Progress". I've called, emailed, facebook inboxed, and left a post on their facebook page. Zero response and get this; They deleted my post on their facebook page as well as other people complaining about the lack of communication, no cards shipped, etc. Then I noticed they blocked my ability to post anymore. RUDE! I finally decided to order from VistaPrint and chose rush delivery. I settled for ordering 10 less than I wanted to help ofsett a little bit of the shipping. Not as great of quality, but at this point, I just need some dang Christmas cards to send out!

Me too!!! Ordered on the 4th and it's now the 12th. Status has said "printing in process" for 5 days now. No one answering phones due to "unusually high volume in calls". I usually use shutterfly for my Christmas cards, but bought photo affections deal on living Social. They suck and will never use them again. Hope I can at least get my money back.

I am in the same boat! I placed my order 12/5 and requested 2 day shipping. Their site says 2-3 business days to process. It is now the 5th business day and my status still says printing. I am beyond frustrated especially since they are not taking any phone calls. They refer you to their email service which I have sent two emails thus far with no response. They are a terrible company and I recommend that no one use them. If they can't handle their workload this time of year they shouldn't be in business! Full of regret for going with Photoaffections.com

I ordered my prints the 5th and it still says printing as well. I was able to talk to someone Monday who said they put my order on "urgent" status. However you cannot get them on the phone at all! That did nothing and now I likely will not get my cards. Worst experience EVER. Anyone have advice?

I ordered on the 6th, today is the 12th and the status is "still printing". Tried to call and cancel my order but you can't talk to anyone on the phone and none has returned my email. Any suggestions as to how I cancel my order? Furious!!!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!! BEWARE!! I ordered, on a WED. No proof was sent back in one business day.. I called on following MON.. then they sent the proof finally that day.. I approved immediately.. and today is WED.. and they have still not finished printing and forget shipping. They will not make it by Christmas, much less the New Year at this point! I should have stuck to TINY PRINTS. They have great customer service and speedy turnaround time and delivery. Worth the price to me!

Told by two customer service people they would mark my file jrgent and send these out asap! Was hoping to have before Dec. 1st. I leave to go out of town for xmas next week.Today is Dec. 9th. I still have No CARDS!!! I paid $35.00 plus tax and shipping on top of a Living Social $18.00 voucher for 40 cards. What a idiot I feel like!

I'm the original OP. Yeah, they were frustrating as hell to deal with, but even though the photo paper was a bit flimsy for the price, I have been told that was the best photo card I have ever sent. While the ones since have not compared, they were something like half the price with coupons. Snapfish are the cheapest, but IMO quality is meh. Shutterfly are better quality than Snapfish. Minted cards look gorgeous, but they are expensive.

Good luck! Hope your cards come soon! I should also warn you-don't panic if the Fed-ex email says it was delivered, but it never came. In our case it magically appeared 2 days later. Customer service says that has happened quite a few times.

Try Minted -- I've had two great experiences with them.

OP here. To 22:06...We didn't do card stock and the photo paper just seemed more flimsy then the cheaper places. I will say their layouts are my favorite of all the places, but to pay that much and have so many customer service snafoos together with my cards being lost in transit briefly was a bit much. If all the same things happened with say Vista print (which I haven't tried, but they seem to be the cheapest) I wouldn't be as annoyed, but for the cost I expected more.

Hope they can still be "the one" for you 22:06...I think shutterfly or snapfish may be "the one" for me. I had planned to use either one, but then the perfect layout at photo affections tempted me and well I cheated. Learned my lesson.

I LOVE Photo Affections! Used them last year & this year and they were far & away the nicest of all of the cards i've done over the years. This year I got the card stock (which they didn't offer last year) and it's really nice quality. I have used Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Tiny Prints before and they were all fine, but I am still in love with my Photo Affections card from last year - i just happened to find a card with the perfect layout & colors for the photos I wanted to use, and it was just beautiful. And my card this year turned out great and arrived quickly, no problems.

I'm disappointed to hear you had a bad experience because I thought I finally found "the one" after trying so many different vendors. I plan to use them next year & I guess I'll have to hope my luck holds.

Just read the thread re:Tiny Prints. Yikes. I used them once for birth announcements and was so pleased. Had no idea Shutterfly bought them, but have always had good experiences with Shuttergly. Guess lots of places are having quality issues. Photo Affections is overpriced!!!!

The cards were good-not as high quality as I expected for the high price, but fine. Customer service ranged from great to dreadful. Had one person keep me in a live internet chat for close to an hour as she tried to solve the issue of my cards not arriving despite the fact Fed Ex said they were delivered. All this woman did was restate things I already told her like the tracking number. Another well meaning "help" person called me at 10:00pm to make sure I finally got the cards. My kids go to bed at 8. Will not use them again. Only reason I used them is they have nice card layouts, but I have had more success with shutterfly and snapfish.
