Why pick on Jamie Dimon. They really didn't need the money and they really were forced to take it. That's not a lie. It wasn't just him, but lots of banks had to take the money. The reason was that the gov't didn't want the public to flee any bank with TARP funds so the good ones had to take it too. And most of them sat on that cash until the first opportunity to get out from under TARP because it came with lots of restrictions, too.
