PhDs don't always mean the person can write or spell, for that matter.

The person in charge of the program keeps writing emails with the word "insure" in it. I guess it's her favoriate word. Except she misspells it each time -- it should be "ensure." She has a PhD, BTW. Can someone please tell her? I can't bring myself to do it.

We use Springboard aftercare at Logan and find that it works well for us. This was a completely new program for the school, and in a short time Springboard has adapted the program to the school space and requests of parents. My daughter loves the teachers so far. They divvy the kids into smaller, age-based groups and rotate them around the building throughout the afternoon for activities. There are also options for electives, but my daughter is happy with the basic offerings.

This only works if the Principal in the school will back it. I have fought this fight a lot and often it just is not the priority for the principal so you have to make it a priority and that means you need to represent probably at least of 1/3 of the student body that actually uses aftercare.
