Some of the Amazon reviews say that you can't really grill on it because there isn't a good way for the grease to drain. Have any of you had that problem?

I've been thinking of buying something similar as well, but I really want the waffle function. I've been eyeing this one

which is sooo much cheaper, but it only doesn't have the grill...

I have one too and I love it. I pretty much use it for paninis. If we are making pancakes, I pull out the big griddle because the Cuisinart just isn't big enough.

We have one. It is awesome. We use it daily. We do sandwiches in it, grill breakfast burritos, grilled chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs....it is very versatile and we have had ours a few years (3 think) already. It is just starting to wear a bit in the nonstick so I am thinking it is time to replace.
My 13 year old loves it too and makes his own healthier version of grilled cheese or puts cheese in tortillas and grills...
My fav thing to do with it is I can do 6 breakfast burritos in there at once when company comes for casual breakfast and it is always a hit. I just scramble veggies and eggs with cheese and then fill the burritos and line them up. It leaves a great crisp on the tortilla with the grill marks and then we serve with fixings. Instant hit.

I've been thinking about getting a Cuisinart Griddler for a while--I have a large electric griddle that we use pretty often, but no place to store it in the kitchen, so it just sits in the corner in the box. I know the Griddler won't have as much surface area, but I think it would be a fair trade off to be able to store it. I think we'd use it pretty often for making Panini and grilling meats as well.

It seems to get pretty good reviews online, but thought I'd ask here too. Worth it? Is it a pain to clean? Anyone have the waffle plates?
