It describes how, in spite of the fact that military pay is at an all-time high (having increased 30% faster than pay in the private sector since 2001), there is an increasing number of military families living in poverty since the financial crisis hit.
Service members and their families have used $88 million in food stamps this year.
Unemployment among military spouses is at 26%. Is this because those spouses "won't quit bitchin' instead of getting back to work?"
