To be honest - we all do this at some point in our educations / careers. It's not just you, people are lucky if they really find a job they like after all the training.
You could try entry-level admin work at a university and it may lead to a higher position after a few years.

Would you be interested in working in the general area of education but not as a teacher? I'm thinking in the association world somewhere -- AAUW comes quickly to mind, but there are many others.

Are we talking completely outside of teaching?
You could start a daycare or tutor, but that is still in the 'teacher' area.
Outside of teaching, you'd need to go back to school to do more than secretarial work.

There are a lot of homeschool groups that need people to teach their kids things like Spanish. You could start there for a gig or two.
Also, could try teaching English as a Second Language to adults.

Subject: Career change from teaching
I taught high school for nine years. I am now a SAHM, but am contemplating a career change. I have a MA in Spanish, but my skills are just that: teaching and the fact that I am proficient in a second language. I am interested in using my language skills, but doing what? I need ideas and how to go about finding these jobs.
