I like Parker and Brooks.

Blake was a red neck name when I was growing up, as was Blain.

I like Parker. Blake is...not great, but not awful. The rest are truly terrible. Brooks makes me want to poke my eyes out so I don't have to read it.

I dislike all of them, but that seems to be the direction boys' names are headed. So at least your son would fit in with his peers. My 2 yr old's daycare class has a Finn, Brady, Seaton and Walker. BTW, Carter is a really, really popular name in the South and has been for awhile now.

I like Parker and Penn. I think Bode is kind of neat but you will get a lot of "that doesn't bode well...."

The list that you compiled seems to be of one vein of names. You probably wouldn't have been chewed out if you threw a couple Jacks and Matthews in there for good measure.

Have you thought about exploring more classic names? William or John are probably better long-term choices.

FWIW, I really like Carter (and all the Carters I have met) and it seems to fit well with your list. I named my DC something very traditional, not super popular, but a family name that doesn't fit with any particular trend. For us it was the best long-term name choice.

Do the boss test. And then the Supreme Court test (I think I made that up)...

Does sound like you're already filling out his application for Scull and Bones.

That said, I kinda like Penn.

Sorry, OP, but I don't care for any of them. Of the list, Parker and Blake are the most OK, in my opinion.

Sorry OP, but these are all terrible.

Horrid. Pretentious, and sound like you think you they area klassy, but you don't realize that they mark you as exactly what you are not.

Sorry, I agree with 12:03 and 12:08. Are there any classic names you like?

Penn was on my list but my DH vetoed it. I really like it but I don't care for any of the others. They sound pretentious and WASPy to me. Besides, Tucker rhymes with F@#$er.

The all sound like the name of the jerky male character in an 80s teen movie.
