I'd rather prostitute..esp if legal. Stealing would be too nerve-wracking and I'd be afraid of getting caught and going to jail.

I think there are always options. Many people who steal believe they are entitled, so they don't want to go to the local shelter to get their meals. There are things set up for people in need but they want an "easier" solution.

I've been in that situation and my solution was ask for food.

Places like McDonalds will give you food for free if you say you can't pay for it.

Seems to me that the more responsible thing to do as a parent is sell myself. If it is legal and safe, I don't run this risk of being separated from my kids either through me going to jail or them being put in the system because I am deemed unfit.

I'm going to go with stealing. I find it less morally objectionable. Prostitution (legal or not) doesn't sound attractive to me. I would rather my kids know I stole food to feed them than screwed 100 guys to do so. Yes, even if legal.

Or be a DC politician. No, wait, better still a politician or lobbyist in DC.

I'd rather run an Enron-style scheme, or pay zero taxes, the way large corporations do. That way I would have plenty of money.

The outrage over the mother caught shoplifting at Filene's Basement with her son made me wonder if I were forced to choose between legal prostitution (in Nevada or Amsterdam) or stealing to support my kids which option I would choose. I'll start -- stealing.
