Tacky tacky tacky. Ostentatious and unattractive.

I kind of agree that spending that much on everyday jewelry isn't something I'd care to do, and in poor taste.

Don't mean to be snarky, but maybe you could find a ring for half the price (or less) which is still pretty extravagant and give $4000 to a family in dc that are hungry. I bet it would feed them for 6-9 months. I'm sure you already give a lot to charity and I realize that we can't fix all the problems that are out there, but I think 8200 is crazy for a ring. What if you lose it? Also, I'm sure there are lots of nice rjings for 3000-4000 or less. Maybe do something personal, like buy groceries for some kids or fund a medical procedure or fund part of your private school or send a kid to college for a semester. I know it's your money and you earned it and you can spend it as you like, but in these times of such economic need (when people are protesting on the streets) I think a less expensive ring and a generous donation would make you feel really good.

Don't like the ring either but this poster is way over the top. Are you same poster that every single time someone talks about spending money the answer is always donate it to charity?

Hey since your psychic, can you tell me if my DH is cheating on me?

How is this related to psychic?

I might be in the minority here, but I like it. However, I think it is WAY overpriced for a bunch of diamond chips. I think you could get something a lot nicer for the same price, or something similar for a lot less.

Not my style, and also thinking you could do better in the realm of diamonds for 8K.

Agree with PPs -- it's a lot of really tiny diamonds for $8,200.

My DW and I had our wedding rings designed by a jeweler in Alexandria. We knew generally what we wanted, and he added his own interpretation. If you know you want an "O" I'm sure you could get a unique design, probably for a LOT less.

Agreed. You could find something much nicer for $8200. You don't have to design it yourself, but there are other nice jewelry stores besides Tiffany.

Don't really like it, especially for the price.

Looking for a "statement" ring I can wear everyday. Only other jewelry I wear is a pair of diamond stud earrings. I'm well aware of the various debates over Tiffany's quality/branding, but I'm not cut out for designing my own ring or consulting with jewelers to find the perfect whatever. I'm an off-the-shelf kind of girl. Also, my initial is "O" so I feel like I could "own" this in a unique way. i'm open to other suggestions, though, so feel free to post links or other pics. TIA.
