Attended the fair, Phelps area was infectious the group assembled was extremely focused. I liked the following Eastern, Phelps, Cardozo, Roosevelt, Coolidge and Spingarn. The absolutely worst school with representation present was Woodson. How can someone promote STEM and was clearly not knowledgeable of the facts. It was painful. I find it amusing to see what extent schools will use to attract new students. Eastern's facility gorgeous and that marching band was the best as it made the fair experience worth-it. There's nothing like a spectacular closing to a phenomenal event.
Just a word of advice for next year consider sharing the wealth and choose another venue i.e., Wilson. Merely because you have had it at Luke Moore and now Eastern for two years in a row.
Back to the worst as in Woodson a one million dollar building with the only STEM focus program and when you inquire about it, all that is recieved is crickets. I wouldn't want to bring any suspicion to the sole presenter but was he on medication or something else?
Kudos to Duke Ellington students they were extremely poised and engaging.
Finally to the DCPS organizers hard work resulted in a well executed program. See ya, next year.
