Subject: Do you make cakes from scratch?
Cake mixes are the biggest scam ever. Is it really that hard to add baking soda and baking powder yourself?

Only from scratch. If you can blend a mix with eggs, oil and water you can make cake from scratch.

I make scratch cakes all the time. It really doesn't take much more time, like 15 minutes, for measuring and mixing ingredients.

Scratch. I used to use mixes, but realized it really doesn't take much more time to make it from scratch - we are talking a few minutes to measure the ingredients.

I make them from scratch, it's really easy.
I use this recipe for chocolate cake - how much easier can you get and it's not full of 200 ingredients like the box stuff.

The aisles at the supermarket are full of packet cake mixes. I'm curious. Do most people make cakes from packet mixes or from scratch?
