Try Luchentos in Millstone, it's on Rte 33, right after you get off the NJTP at exit 8- close to Jackson. It's casual but nice, and family friendly. Food is American/Italian.

My mother-in-law turns 75 and her kids, daughters/sons-in-law and grandkids are taking her to a late lunch (3 PM). She's in Jackson, NJ, an area we all visit but don't really know. There's 6 little kids ranging from 2 to 9 years old. We want some place with tablecloths and American food, so it's somewhat formal and traditional which she'll like, but where, if the kids want to sit on the floor and play with toys, they can. Jackson is east of Trenton, off 195, and southwest of Asbury Park. I know it's an odd time, unfamiliar area and I need kid-friendly American food. She doesn't eat out unless it's something really fancy which means grandkids can't come. I promise to look on Yelp and Chowhound but am hoping for some personal recommendations! TIA.
