Check out Goddess brand. They have a low back crazy looking contraption that I wore for my wedding that might work.

OP, I'm the 38G who posted earlier. You sound like a good friend, one who certainly has more taste and decorum than the bride... yikes! You also have a good sense of humor... I'm gonna have to adopt that term "sagalicious."

Good luck. She's gotta understand and help make this work for you. Doesn't it suck that we have to worry about such things? Bras-- in one way or the other-- are always on my mind: that one's shot... that one can only be hand washed... that one has a wire sticking out... that one I can only wear on a special date... yadda yadda yadda. It blows.

I made sure to let my nipples show last time I was asked to wear such thing. We laughed together and bride gave me the green light to pick something else in that color.

Anyway, yes, I'm kidding about a breast reduction. Not that I wouldn't like one-- they're ridiculously large for my frame, and I feel like I miss out on a lot of cute clothes I'd otherwise rock the hell out of-- but it's not in the cards.

The problem is that the bride also has a giant pair of sweater kittens, and doesn't have any of my hang-ups about... you know... hanging them up. Only the most structured and all-encompassing foundation garments (I like the term "foundation garments"-- very evocative) will keep them in the vicinity of my chest. She'll wear a low cut top and no bra, such that you can see the inner/ lower crease. She's always telling me I'd look great in stuff she would wear, that would be totally appalling on me and my sagalicious hooters.

We're going to try the dresses on tomorrow after work. I'm hoping that it will be immediately obvious that this is NOT a look she wants to see in her wedding album for the next 50 years, and that there are other dresses in the line that will work better for my top-heaviness.

If you feel like you can say something (and hopefully you are close enough to a bride whose wedding you are in to say something) I would. Women with small boobs don't understand the physics behind really large boobs. Some kinds of dresses are just not possible.

I suffered through many strapless bridesmaids dresses before I learned to just say to the bride, "You picked a beautiful dress but, for me, it isn't possible. I am happy to sit this one out and not be a bridesmaid, but I just can't wear a dress like this in public."

OMG. I'm also a G cup. Is she (the bride) inconsiderate or just clueless? I've been a bridesmaid five times. Fortunately I could always make the dress work. In two of the weddings, the dress was the same fabric, color, and length, but the top/bodice part could be of our choosing as to what we felt was the most flattering. The other one, we all wore the same Vera Wang skirt, but chose our own white blouse (which of course had to be approved by the bride, but worked out). Could you ask the bride to do the first option I described? Or maybe wear a bolero with the dress so you could wear a bra with straps? In the meantime, go to Sylene's or another couture bra shop so you can explore your options of what might hold you up.

Having all bridesmaids dresss alike is no longer in vogue. Show her and tell her your problem. If she is a friend, she will understand and choose something else. I hope you are kidding about having a breast reduction for a bridesmaid dress.

OP, you sound awesome! What a good friend you are! I have the EXACT OPPOSITE problem you do but that still equals having problems with strapless dresses (although, for me, it's nothing that fake boobs in the form of a bra can't solve).

Can you wear a shrug of some sort?
