I've done Thanksgiving at McCormick and Schmicks (or M&S Grill) six years in a row-- not sure if they do Christmast?

I'm not saying it's extraordinary or that I love it. I'm saying it's child friendly and would seem to fit the bill for OP's request. Sou'Wester is great if you eat meat, less so if you don't.

We're Jewish and always do Chinese. If you're talking real Christmas type, the hotels are a great idea. If it were me - and clearly it is not - I would do Whole Foods catering, pick that up beforehand and serve when convenient. Cheaper, better timing and no travel. Traffic can surprise you on Christmas - that I know.

As a nurse, I'm going to have to work at my hospital during the day on Christmas. I would really appreciate recommendations for a nice Christmas dinner venue that afternoon/early evening since I won't be home to cook during the day. Would prefer MoCo or downtown DC but would be willing to travel for the right opportunity for two adults and an elementary-age child. Thanks for any suggestions.
